The Perfect Transdermal Patch Cover
How to tell the difference between Tegaderm 1626 center adhesive and center non adhesive window. This is confusing as they both share the q626 product number. 20 years ago I found the foolproof method that has never failed. Look at the drawing/picture of the patch. One shows a clear plain window. This has the non adhesive center for cover IV ports etc. The 1626 that shows paper being peeled off the center window area has the adhesive center for a waterproof covering of morphine or other transdermal patches that have stopped sticking for the 3 to 10 day period. I also found the best way to get an air tight adhesion is to: 1. Clean your skin with alchohol. 2. Allow it to dry without touching the skin. 3. Apply your medication patch and use a dry flat surface (Tegaderm box works ... How to tell the difference between Tegaderm 1626 center adhesive and center non adhesive window. Apply the Tegaderm patch over your med patch, or IV port. Use something such as box again to apply even pressure for 1 or 2 minutes. 5. Carefully remove the paper backing. I slip my finger between the tape and paper as soon as I have enough room to press down tape and lift paper backing simultaneously and avoid tears. If you follow these simple steps it will improve your patch cover and avoid the need to reapply tape prior to needing a new patch or portal.

Great for the price!
I'm not the one using it, löl BUT my hubby needs them for his Nephrostomy tube on both sides of his kidney's back. He says, the other brand is better, however, for the price, we paying for this one, it works just fine. So, I guess, as long as his sensitive skin doesn't get itches, it's a good item to have and to recommend for sensitive skin. 🙏🏻🙏🏻

Makes a great bandage for dialysis catheters, reduces infection rate too
Started using these when the clinic did a study on infection rates. Infections can grow inside a cath and those things can be quite painful. These bandages offer protection against water and rain. I would not take a bath or shower in it. But if you happen to be outside in the rain, it is better than going outside in tape and gauze. Unfortunately, my clinic requires me to bring in my own Tegaderm now. If that is the case with you, this is the right size to get. I get these every so often. Each box comes with 50 and doing dialysis 12 times a month, it can last a good 4 months. It is a solid buy and useful for those times when you need to change your site because someone didn't know what they were doing. In those instances, a box might last you three months. Still the best!
We use tegaderm to cover pain patches whose adhesive doesn't hold them on very well. Tagderm allows the product beneath it 'to breathe' to a certain degree and is very hypoallergenic. We have tried many things over the years to solve the problem of keeping bandages on while allowing some air flow as well, and tegaderm is still the best. Placement of tegaderm is easy as it has a paper backing that peals off after it is in place. The 1626w have an open window; the 1626 has a covered window that peels off. I have found that tegaderm can actually be cut to make it slightly smaller if need be.
