    Top seller, I would recommend! :) I was sent the wrong item, but the seller sorted this out quickly, and sent me the correct item, good communication all the way! :) The new item arrived new in plastic, but had clear marks and hairlines under the plastic on the back of the cover. But the most important thing for me was that the cover was undamaged om the front, as this movie was to become part of my "steelbook wall" - All good, thx again! :)

    76 years old in the best way

    I was a kid growing up at the tail end of the Great Depression and through World War II on the home front. People born after my parents, older peers and myself, cannot conceive the intensity of national commitment and individual mortal sacrifice ofor that conflict. So I judge all recent films about the war in comparison with those issued immediately after the war to the generation that was there. Most current films about the war lack that sense of personal cost it inflicted, and such films are generally soulless, empty. Saving Private Ryan is not among that crowd. It succeeds in not only sensing the personal connection, but not diminishing or "insulating" it. But for very effective modern production values, I would rate this as in the same class as Battleground, In Which We Serve, The ...

    No Complaints at all for me no this movie or the purchase of the film on this dvd great movie great characters great movie great buy,Best war film I have ever seen Sad But Based On True Events that happened During Word War II, Tom Hanks played a good role, Matt Damon was unbelievable in this movie.

    Excellent detail, realism, story line and actors.

    Excellent movie, great detail, realism, story line and actors. A piece of history very well presented. June 6th 1944 is when the forces of good pushed back the forces of evil. Everyone needs to see that freedom is NOT free, it takes courage, strength and sacrifice to destroy those that would enslave..

    Great movie.

    Of all the movies about WAR, I rate this the best. It has a great plot. It has one of the best actors of my generation. An it is believeable, compassionate, yet at the same time, authinic.

    Saving Private Ryan: Human side of war

    My Dad was too young for WWII. He was involved in Korea. My grandfather was in WWII. I was interested in the human side of war. This is a good story! I get lost in battles, but human interest always draws me in.
