good entry level radio
The radio comes with every thing in the picture and a small cd. I tried 2 different computers to down load the program and neither one was able to auto play or run the program. XP and Windows 7. It comes with instructions to manually program the radio. kinda hard for me to fallow but slowly figuring it out. great audio and good receive. This is my first radio of the kind and having fun. It transmits well also. If you bought all these things separate you would pay double.The radio comes with every thing in the picture and a small cd. I like this radio, but!
This radio, like any other is not perfect, but it will do the job. Chirp is good for the radio, but I would use the software cps for this radio to use the extra options like the 2 and 5 tone encoding and decoding, I have had good reports with this radio on audio and signal. Now the extension speaker port, that is a tricky issue. The port had a mic and speaker all in one jack, and I am not a big fan of that, but once you have it right, the sound is nice and crisp. It is a s.o.c. (software on a chip) so it is prone to off frequency carriers to drown out signals. This radio, like any other is not perfect, but it will do the job. Nice little radio
Nice little radio. Needed one that would fit in my car. The negative was the user manual. Fortunately there were YouTube videos that clarified how the programming menus work and the repeater TX programming. Offset direction and shift weren't enough. Had to add TX frequency after saving the channel.

Tiny but powerful
I have had this radio for about a month and really like it. I wanted a radio that would fit inside one of the cubby holes in my 2003 Honda CRV. There are several such locations and this fits them all. I have had excellent signal reports. Transmit audio is crisp and clear, and the receive audio matches the TX performance. Even though it is a physically small radio, the received audio is easily heard when going down the highway. Upon receipt of the radio, I put it on the bench and found that it was right on frequency, the output power was as stated in the literature and the receiver was incredibly sensitive. I have not noticed any intermod or spurious signals. I continue to be amazed at the performance and functions that this radio provides. It will do anything that I want it to, ... It does it all
Amazing what can be packed into a small package. But this rig does what it says it does, clean and simply. Using it for communication in my Side by Side, it mounted on the roof and has plenty of volume from the speaker even with the engine roaring. Programming is exceptionally easy manually, but I did get the program cable for it and then that really makes things easy. Nice rig.
