As an entry level instrument for a child it is useful. The finger key spacing is sufficent for an adult with big hands as well. When playing, the embouchure and sound are more in line with a clarinet than a sax. The down side I've noticed is the lack of easily accessible replacement parts for NUVO's instruments.
