It needs some modifications.
The Ontario machete 18" military issue, would not fit in this sheath.. To begin with the rivet for the belt harness would not let the blade enter the opening, Forcing the new blade scratched it. I had to heat the plastic a reform it with a heat gun. After widening the opening away from the rivet, the blade was still difficult to get in and out of the sheath. I used the heat gun to form the sheath while moving the blade in and out. After some mods, the blade finally slide easily in and out.. I have read reviews, this has been an issue for a lot of people..

Perfect fit for WWII GI Ontario machetes.
Sheath fits really well. The plastic construction is very sturdy to keep the sharp edge and the user separated from each other. Greatly preferred over a nylon sheath.

Great value and quality.
It fits well and is made of durable plastic that is easy to clean and maintain. For the price, it is a great value and should last quite a bit longer than any cloth like sheath.

Great Machette Sheath that is easy on the budget
Great replacement for the canvas sheath I had. Worked perfect. Plastic is sturdy and the holes on both sides allowed me to mount a Molle setup fo be able to mount it to a pack.

Ontario machete sheath
I'm not really happy with the sheath it is very stiff and hard to insert or remove the machete from the sheath. Other than that fact it seems pretty stout but is plastic so it won't last forever.

It is a quality made product but it needs a way to secure the machete to the sheath because it falls out
It would be much better if there was a way to secure the machete in the sheath
