    I have two of these and imo, they’re the best! At most, only extremely tiny bugs are able to get in the Hummingbird nectar. They look like a tiny specks… Anyway, thanks for sending this to my PA friend.

      Keeps the ants away

      This is essential for Hummingbird feeders or your feeder will be full of ants. And when it is full of water, despite the fact that I have a full birdbath, little birds will often perch on it and drink the water. But it does it's job to keep ants away. Another advantage is that it lowers the feeder a little which helps to keep the raccoons from getting to it because they love the nectar.

      Ant Moat

      This is the perfect thing to keep ants out of my hummingbird feeder. It works great and is not bad looking. The birds are very curious about it. Glad I found it on eBay.

      Works great

      The ant moat works great , have had no problems with ants, until the raccoon came last night and broke it and knocked down my feeder . I was pleasantly surprised at how well the moat works

      The only solution I've found to keep the ants away.

      Best thing since sliced bread if you have relentless ants that are forever looking for a loop hole to attack your humming bird feeders. Now I can be away for hours and hours (here in the desert) and they are still holding water and keeping the ants away. Even though I have water sources all over the place, small birds are also taking sips from these little water reserves. I bought four of them, one is for a gift, but will most likely buy at least a few more. I wish they were more like $5, that seems more like a true value, but I'm loving every one of them. Great invention!

      Works as it should

      I would prefer that the bottom of the moat have a hook rather than just a hole in the plastic. Some of my feeders have a thicker hook that won't fit through that hole. I have had to add an additional hook to make it work.
