    Freestyle strips work best for me

    As someone who has a 40+ year history of personal blood glucose testing, these are one of only two brands I’ve found that does not skew results above what they actually are. This is partially a result of my personal body chemistry as plasma & other blood composition impacts the chemical reaction that the strips convert to blood glucose numbers; that said, it’s dangerous, when maintaining very tight control, to correct numbers that are artificially too high because hypoglycemia is a far more urgent danger than hyperglycemia.

    Freestyle Lite test strips

    I've used these types of strips for nearly 8 years. They are reliable and accurate. I am happy with the meter and the features the company that makes them offers on their website. I recommend these to anyone who needs to test their blood sugar for whatever reason as it takes a very very small drop to activate and get a reading. I believe it is the smallest sample on the market.

    great with Alpha Trak 2 pet meter

    these when used in our pet meter give much closer readings than the human meters due with our cat. they read BG much closer (within 4-10 under 90% of time) to vet readings and pet strips compared to the human meters that read BG way too low and inconsistent (both human meters read anywhere from 20 - 60 under). these are just better for our cat who requires adjusted insulin dose based on his actual BG, so the more accurate strips are the better and given these (the FS lite in white boxes at least) are pretty much the same strips as the Alpha trak 2 pet meter strips and often cost on ebay over half of what the AT2 ones packaged as pet strips cost, these make it more affordable and make it so i can check my cat’s BG 4 times a day without it costing us $4 a day..

    It is out of date product.

    It is a very easy to use for testing blood sugar. The cost of the strips are higher than what other brands are.

    One of the most reliable.

    These aren't the least expensive strips but I find this system to be the most accurate. I've tried others with "all over the place" results and the Freedom Lite is always listed in the top 3 as most reliable. These strips also use a speck of blood compared to others.
