    As advertised, NOS in great condition shipped in the original factory anti-static wrappers. Tested as expected for NOS. They work well. Good packing. Shipping the drives, however, was a little slow: Paid for the drives on Sep 30th, tracking # became available on Oct 8th & actually shipped on Oct 9th. Thus 9 days to actually deliver the package to the carrier. Received the package at my end on Oct 22nd. Thus over 3 weeks from the Sep 30th payment. HAPPY TO GET THEM! Thanks!

    Seagate Desktop SSHD Hybrid Harddrive

    The Seagate ST2000DX001 is quiet and dependable. This model has been on the market for some time now so it has a proven track record. I bought my unit to update a 5 year old Dell 8300XPS. The solid state drive portion acts as a catch piggy backed on a 2T conventional hard drive. The unit is programmed to route access active programming (hardware & program instruction data) through the solid state drive while leaving the conventional storage portion of the drive to deal with passive (storage-type) data. This methodology decreases the time needed to boot up a computer or execute commands and thereby increases the overall speed of a computer. I paid a bit more than $100.00 for a new 2T SSHD unit but I am happy with this investment so far.

    Works great

    Install was easy and the hard drive works great. Would give it a 5 but It is very loud. Had to download a program to reduce rpms. Helps a little. May not be as big a problem for tower computers, but mine is an iMac and it's directly in my face.

    Simply Wow...

    Added this to my system to upgrade the space, seen the reviews about the speed boost and they weren't lying. This HDD is much quieter than the traditional disk drives and I notice about a 20% difference in my data load speeds. Before I could tell when my HDD was slowing my PC because it would lag a bit and I could hear the HDD activity. But with this drive, the added on-board 8gb of solid state memory makes the world of difference. Was skeptical when I was first buying. Now I'm without any regrets. (You won't notice the additional performance boost unless you install your Operating System onto this drive.)

    SSHD

    This hdd seems to be faster, but it does click a lot like some of my older drives before they crashed. I personally feel like its a great deal for 75$. boot time on windows 10 is faster it does seem. lots of storage for the price. I have it in a OptiPlex 980 SFF so it sits right up on my desk. I can hear everything that happens inside, so I think yes I would recommend this drive if you want more speed and lots of storage Dell OptiPlex 980 8gb ram GeForce 710 2gb vid card 2 tb hdd Win 10 pro Tony granata

    Thought it would be faster,

    I had purchased a WD 2TB "BLACK" 64MB CACHE but wanted faster. The two drives tested identically with a variety of tests. No improvement. Both are fast. But I know it can be even faster with an SSD. I will put my money on a SSD next time. Note: both drives are in the same intel i7 computer with a mirror images of windows 7. The "Black" drive is 3 months old and the Seagate is a few weeks old. Very good drives.
