    Good key for 2003 Accord

    The key works fine so far. I'm always worried about them braking, but I'm a guy and i always have them in my front pocket. The hardest part was getting the chip out of my old key. I really had to pry to get it. I had to take it to a locksmith to cut it and they charged $21.50 so the whole investment is less than $30. That same locksmith quoted me $70 or $80 last fall when I first noticed my old key was about to break.

    Great deal for replacement key

    This was an excellent alternative to the $180 key the Honda dealer was going to charge. I have a 2011 Honda Accord, and with a minor adjustment by the locksmith, he was able the make a key for $40. There was a small piece that took him about 5 minutes to remove with his pocket knife, and he was able to make a perfect match.

    Don't waste your money at a dealership!

    Very easy to swap out the fobs. YouTube has some good demonstrations on how to get the chip out. The local hardware store wouldn't cut the key, a locksmith cut it for $35. Still saved a ton of money!

    Finally - a case with a chip slot!

    Terrific vendor -- responsive, knowledgeable; had to contact several times. Had difficulty finding a key case with a built-in "box"/slot for the transponder chip. This one has it, but it comes with a permanently attached blank key blade. (I had hoped to use my original blade.) Was able to find a hardware store which would cut a blade not purchased from them ($10). Turns out the permanent attachment is far sturdier than my OEM setup, where the blade was held in place by a tiny screw. WORD OF CAUTION: After much trial and error, we discovered that there are TWO separate pieces of plastic in the chip slot that need to be transferred for my 2004 Honda Accord. There is a cross-shaped plastic "lid" from the OEM chip slot AND a flat rectangular piece, which laid on the bottom of the slot ...

    Much cheaper than what you'll find elsewhere

    My primary key fob broke, and I ended up buying one that barely fit. That one broke after a month or two of use, and then I bought this one. I didn't realize it came with a blank key already installed, so I had a locksmith cut the blank into the shape of my key. After transferring the fob and the transponder into this new replacement, it works like a charm. Everything fits, nothing is bulging out and it snaps into place without any cracks in the shell. This saved me a trip to the dealership and hundreds of $$$ for a brand new key fob.
