Great to neutralize body oil and sebum after a day working outside in the summer. This brand's formula is surprisingly good because it does its medicinal job, but also they achieved a balance where neither the sulphur smell nor the parfume are overpowering, which can't be said of other brands (generally more aggressive astringent effect and more deep sulphur smell).

working for my 14 y/o daughter
This currently is working for my daughter. I did see improvement in 4 days. Her skin was not completely clear but the pus filled pimples (sorry) were smaller in size and not as red. The instructions say to wet face, lather, and then leave on for 10 minutes. I totally disagree with the 10 minutes. I feel that is way too long because I had her just wash her face morning and night with this and not leave on and she did develop a few places on her skin that were "raised" and had an odd texture. Almost like a "burn" but it was not red or inflamed. it was normal flesh color but it did itch. So we lowered the washing to once daily except on the days she's really active with softball and sports. I do think this is a great product and the smell is not too bad. It has worked for us and what I really liked is that unlike other products there really was not a big "purge" phase meaning when you use this you don't break out REALLY bad to get the toxins and stuff out. At least it didn't with my kid when everything else broke her out so bad for a few weeks then cleared. Also, her skin is always oily!!! After a workout or practice even when she wiped the sweat from her face, you could still see oil and grime. With this bar, she will wipe the sweat away and her face is not oily...it is the strangest thing!! almost like she just put foundation on. for the price it is worth a try.

Do NOT waste your money.
I love the original "Sulfur soap" that did not have added stuff in it. It worked great for my skin, and now it appears that that soap is gone! I am so sad about that! This soap works no different than any other common soap bought at Dollar general or others. Very unhappy with it.

Works for Adult Acne to remove redness
Great product, works as advertised. It takes a week or two to see the results, but it's starting to work to reduce the redness. Leaves you skin feeling really soft from the lanolin. I'm using it to treat adult acne in conjunction with clindamycin gel. Clindamycin gel reduced most of the underlying redness, but I still had some redness after 6 weeks of treatment. The sulfur soap seems to be working to remove the rest of the stubborn redness.Great product, works as advertised. It takes a week or two to see the results, but it's starting to work to reduce the redness. Leaves you skin feeling really soft from the lanolin. I'm using it to treat adult acne in conjunction with clindamycin gel. Clindamycin gel reduced most of the underlying redness, but I still had some redness after 6 weeks of treatment. The sulfur soap seems to be working to remove the rest of the stubborn redness.
