However the space to access and fit this item is very restriced..... I found this replacement part is NOT a good fit in the mounting hole and needed to be repeatedly installed and removed to sand down the mounting lugs slightly to allow it to be turned properly into the locked position. I found this very frustrating. If you want an easy perfect fit ....order the genuine VW part (probably at much greater cost.)
