Fabulous-from when Sony was at its best.
The title says it all. Unlike the typical CD player, the drawer opens, you remove a precision weight, put in the disc and add that balancing weight above it.Perfect balance. The optical reader is within the drawer mechanism itself.

It's a classic.
I bought this with the hope that I could play some of my scratched cds without them skipping. It is much better than my nad. The sound quality is superb, and for a 20+ year old player it's amazing. The cd drawer is silent and smooth display still bright . If you can find one in good condition, I would highly recommend.
