Love Celtic type music

Oldfield classic
Ive been a Mike Oldfield fan since the early days of Tubular Bells. I must admit this album had escaped my notice. Its a really good collection of music. Its not a theme like TB or Incantaions or Ommadawn, but a collection of Celtic based pieces. Voyage to remember.
This album takes you on a journey, back to Mike's Celtic roots. With both Irish and Scottish traditional music with a touch of Oldfield magic! I bought this for a friend who likes Mike's interpretation of the late Queen Mothers' favourite piece of music, 'Dark Island'. This is such a moving piece even in it's traditional version but Mike sprinkles some fantastic guitar string action which makes this track outstanding. I have been a Mike Oldfield fan since I was 16 and am in my 50's now. Hard for me to give this album anything less than 5 stars.Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Gebraucht
