    Good stuff. As described. Good value. Safe packaging for the long journey overseas. It's just eBay shipping, the high cost and the fact that eBay is charging me 15% NZ GST on the whole cost which is hindering me from spending more money on eBay. This has to stop.

    Train Runs Well, Track Not Too Good

    Bachmann's Spirit of Christmas Train runs well. Because the train is very small (N Gauge) it is difficult to get the cars connected VIA their couplings. There is another set of couplings in a different configuration that came with the set, I will try next year. The track is not too good, you have to be very careful putting the individual track pieces together. misalign them and the train will bump off the track where the track pieces fit together. I bought the train to travel around a 3' tall table top Christmas tree. By connecting the 12 11" R tracks, that are supplied with the set, you will have a layout that will fit on a 24" diameter piece of plywood. If the track were a bit better, I would have given this set 4 Stars. A company named Atlas sells replacement track called Code 80. I ...

    Great starter set!

    If you're not familiar with model trains, you should know this scale of train "N" is tiny. If you're looking for a train to put around your Christmas tree, you're better with an "HO" scale or even larger. But, this tiny train set is built very well, is very easy to assemble and operate. The power unit is decent, as I'm told by my local model train experts, and it has options to connect and power other accessories should you choose to get creative with your train set up. The engine does not have a light or smoke, which is really rare - it's actually hard to find an engine that doesn't at least have a light, but this is considered a "starter" kit and so that's one limitation of this set. I just learned that the reason this kit doesn't have a caboose is because it's a passenger train and ...

    Bachman N scale Christmas Train

    This is a nice train, runs smooth, perfect size on my living room table, I was disappointed when I saw that the engine doesn’t have a headlight, the cars don’t light either, for the price I expected at least a working headlight.

    Is good for what it is.

    I was initially disappointed in the quality, but since just my other engines cost more than this entire set, I changed my mind and realized it is only a toy train and it is a good deal for what it is, with surprising detail.
