Designed to accommodate one person, this tent is compact with a low profile, and it is light enough so you will not have to carry unnecessary pounds on long camping or biking trips. Whether you are a pro camper or a new wilderness explorer, you can count on this Snugpak Ionosphere in olive green to keep you snug and dry in the outdoors even when the rain starts to pour. This Snugpak Ionosphere measures about 92 inches long, 34.6 inches wide, and 27.9 inches tall. Even though they are designed to be compact, campers of all sizes will fit into these durable tents. The pack size of this portable piece of outdoor sleeping gear is 17 inches by 5.25 inches, so you can easily store it in your backpack among your camping essentials. Even better, it weighs less than four pounds, meaning this tent will not weigh you down even when you go for long hikes. This shelter comes with 14 alloy stakes, two spare stakes, and two DAC Featherlite anodized aluminum poles to ensure a sturdy setup. All of the seams of this tent are sealed. These tents feature a 190t nylon inner with a polyester No-See-Um-Mesh mosquito net and a polyester RipStop fly with a 5000mm waterproof polyurethane coating, so you'll stay completely dry even during strong storms. A bivy shelter such as the Ionosphere will also work well as a survival tent, so it's a good addition to any disaster-preparedness kit. Access to the interior is through a small opening at the head. By reducing the number of entry sites, these types of tents are better able to protect against the elements. When designing these tents, Snugpak took the initiative to really ensure that their equipment is reliable. When set up, the bottom almost becomes a bathtub shape to keep the rainwater out. Even so, the seams are extremely durable and resist leaks to give you a good night's sleep in the great outdoors. The cone shape of these tents also diverts rainwater away from the base, reducing the risk of potential flooding should it start to rain. Accessories for this tent set include a repair kit that you can keep with your gear. This allows you to easily provide any repairs that you need no matter where you are. These Snugpak tents are designed to give a person of any height plenty of space to sleep comfortably and to store their gear. These single-person tents are so good at keeping the elements out that they are also well-regarded for military outdoors needs.
