Defend your planet's energy supply from enemy missiles and kamikaze helicopter pilots in M.A.D. (Missile Attack and Defense) from U.S. Games. In this Missile Command-like game, you control a centrally-fixed, but angle-adjustable photon canon that protects six energy towers. Enemy missiles and helicopters will fly across the screen. You must shoot them down before they crash into your towers. Fortunately, an enemy will turn white before it drops, so you will know which ones to aim for. On later waves, the ships may travel and drop at different speeds. <br><br>Play against the computer or against another player. In the two player game, you and your opponent take turns controlling the enemy ships, placing a cursor over the ones you want to drop onto the surface. Players may have two shots on the screen at a time.<br><br>If your photon cannon is hit by a ship, it will freeze up momentarily for a few seconds. The game is over when all six towers have been destroyed.
