Much better than I expected it to be
I've been sitting on the fence when it comes to purchasing this movie since it was released in the theater. The trailer made it look promising and I've not seen Viggo Mortensen in very many movies but the few that I have seen him in I've liked making it a little more appealing. My usual problem when it comes to movies of this nature is that they tend to be woke trash and I long ago lost my desire to watch it. Seeing the new Blu-ray on eBay for the price I purchased it for caused me to look at the trailer again after a couple of days of thought I gave in and purchased it. I don't regret it one bit and have actually suggested it to a few people that I think may like it. The movie starts off with both of them behaving like jerks. Tony Lip is an obnoxious jerk that's quick to use his fists and isn't shy about conning people to get his way, but he does have a strong code of conduct that he holds himself to. Dr. Shirly sits upon a throne and literally looks down on people. He has committed himself to do a tour (his motivations to do it is provided but few details are on his reasoning is given) and Tony's reputation the major reason on why he has been asked to apply for the job. This movie could easily be another entry into the "let us cause even more divisions" culture that has been cultivated but it avoided that by focusing on the two major characters and their growing friendship and mutual respect for each other and that is why I see it as a great movie.

WONDERFUL Characters, Storyline and the fact that it's a true story made it all the more wonderful to watch. THIS IS ONE I WILL WATCH MANY TIMES OVER.
This kept me glued to not only the story line, but also the characters. This movie is one that I will be watching frequently... it's one of those! It is a unique look at where we were and how far we have come... if only we could quit negating it all. It's beautifully written, and the reality of it being a true story, really knocks this out of the park. Lovely in every way and thoroughly enjoyed. I can't say that about a lot of films I've seen lately. This was fantastic!
