    Captain Fantastic is an anti-hero without a fantasy cape. He exists on Truth that we all wish we could claim, even in our sane moments.

    Viggo Mortenson really shines for his ability to work with "hs children" in the cast. He makes his alternatives to "normal living" totally believable and justified as the cast complete their "mission" to stick with their own value system.

    I bought it because it had Shree Crooks & Annalise Basso in it and I was not disappointed in their acting

    A little too liberal for my taste, but the ending saves it. The kids did great jobs & Viggo, as always, put himself into the role.

    Offbeat delight.

    This is an excellent movie about a very different family and their adjustments to the regular world when their mom dies. All the characters are interesting and along with the sadness there is a lot of humor. If you like movies that are not the normal Hollywoood type, this will be very entertaining for you.

    healthy lifestyle and love of family

    I loved this movie, it demonstrated that children can be reared without all the electronic gadgets that are considered necessities today. It also stresses a healthier lifestyle and love of family can pull us thru hardships.
