It does not get better than this...terrific shows worth watching over and over
Great storytelling, sets true to time and place, appealing characters played by fine actors. in a set of 18 episodes with extra features. Fans enjoy seeing the characters grow and change as they solve mysteries, often with the help or hindrance of historical figures like Mark Twain, Bat Masterson and others. For Murdoch fans, the famous 100th episode is here with the long-awaited wedding.

Ageless Entertainment
I found the Murdoch Mysteries to very entertaining... interspersing good ol' detective work with some pre-modern scientific investigation. The story line seems to grab and hold on to one's interest... I was always wanting to move to the next chapter in the story. This series shows that some of our 'modern' interests/problems/perceptions are not really so modern at all and have been around for some time. Some of the characters that are introduced are famous folks that we all have a very basic knowledge of if not a detailed knowledge of their later life... such as Thomas Alva Edison and Winston Churchill. The only down side is that now I'm dying to get a look at the next chapter/season which is of course Season 9 and not available just yet. Let's hope it hurries right on out there!

A Period Mystery Series
This series stands out by itself just because of how well acted it is every week. What sets it apart is the MacGyver mentality of the chief character Detective Murdoch. Not only is he well read, he id also totally open to any and all ideas that promote intelligent thought. Reminds me of Sherlock Holmes, but on a much simpler level. It does touch on "issues" from time to time that they try to hit you over the head with, but I'll forgive that defect if kept to a minimum (it is Canada right??????). Buy it if you want to be stimulated intellectually for 46 minutes (no commercials) per episode.

Best series ever !!!!
Setting of series, the script, characters, you name it this series has it and keeps viewer wanting more!! Everything about this series was rivitting , made you want to be there yourself. I'm glad to own this set. Will watch again and again. Even the men here loved it as well. This was a brilliantly written series. They just don't make them like this anymore. On the down side, two chacaters were written like a soap opera. Aside from that, it's well worth the purchase.

Murdock Mysteries Seasons 1-8
This is one of the best series I have watch for a very long time. I would highly recommend it to everyone who loves mysteries, science and history. It is presented in a very entertaining way and hard to stop watching for the night. I am already into the third season and it just getting better.

BEST COLLECTION OF ALL TIME
I have been watching Murdoch Mysteries on my local cable for 4 years. It only comes on about twice a month on Sunday afternoon on the local CW network. I have only seen shows from season 4. This is my favorite series. Now I can watch it ALL anytime I want. Product is in great shape. Delivery was good too.

Fun viewing!
We enjoy the blend of characters in this murder mystery drama. The integration of todays modern forensic technology into primtive nineteenth century investigation, by the wiley detective Murdock, is innovative and entertaining. An excellent!!entire series providing hours of viewing pleasure.

Murdock Season 8 provides some awaited conclusions and introduces new details into the existing characters.
I am very happy to have purchased season 8. This collection exceeds my expectations. Awaited events take place with quite a few surprises as well. Good clean entertainment. There is no more to be said without ruining someone else's fun.

Our favorite.
We so looked forward to enjoying the whole season as it is not available to us on regular TV or streaming. The only disappointment is the producers quest for "political correctness" or a desire to be like Hollywood. There is one or more episodes that highlight a lesbian affair with a main character. Totally unnecessary!

Excellent Series & Actors
Excellent series. Every episode has a reference to an invention of the future. It's colorful, the actors are great. It takes a rather gentle approach to life's problems. Great series to watch during our 2020 virus event.
