ONE OF THE BEST for Christian women
TRUE, gripping, IMPORTANT story of Darlene Diebler Rose and the way she kept her faith so beautifully in the midst of man's horrors. Young missionary couple to New Guinea and the pagan natives they reached with Christ. Set just before WWII, tells how this newlywed couple left all to serve Christ and then paid ultimate sacrifices. SO important to read how she continued to praise and honor Jesus Christ when life looked so bleak. Gives great, useful insight into how we should live even today. Encouraged
If you want your walk of faith with the Lord encouraged, this is the book to buy. After reading this I was ashamed by my lack of faith. Easy to understand in a world full of ease and instant gratification. It's also easy to forget God is still working among His children. Amazing Missionary Story
I have read this book more than once and I am moved every time. What an amazing woman of God. Held captive by the Japanese in the jungles of New Guinea during WW2, her faith and strength and inspiration to others, even to her captors is a must read. I highly recommend this book! Deep peace in terrible conditions
Classic historical missions where people were dedicated to the mission of reaching other, even their enemies. Shows how in suffering the struggles of one's heart.
