Truly A Smoking Collection of Gems
Great CD side 1 being my favourite but all the hits are here alongside a good selection of the 3 class guitarists all featured. Jeff Beck however was far and away the swan among geese and I can tell straight away which he plays lead on. I have Led Zeppelin, Cream and Clapton solo cd's but Jeff Beck was a league of his own then and now. Maybe I am biased a little with my love for Beck and his work but he was THE best of the 3 and that is fact and period. Anyone who can play so many different styles and make his guitar playing sound like a sitar as well deserves the utmost respect I say. Getting back to this CD it's a double and has 40 tracks, 20 on each one. The big ones include "Good Morning Little Schoolgirl" (wonder how long before that goes the same way as Young Girl and Garry Puckett as far as radio woke is concerned), "For Your Love", "Over Under Sideways, Down", (when Jeff Beck's sitar like guitar skills come into their own) "Heart Full of Soul", "I Wish You Would", "Evil Hearted You", "Shapes of Things" "The Nazz Are Blue" and a live and truly smoking version of the classic "Smokestack Lightning. The list goes on. OUSD is on CD 2 which I think generally isn't as good as CD 1 but there's still gems on side 2 making it well worth inclusion nonetheless and not just OUSD either. Check out "Happenings Ten Years Ago" and "Stroll On" as well as one I particularly like "Mister You're A Better Man Then I" if you need any further proof . My copy won't play "Got To Hurry" track 19 of CD 1 which was an Eric Clapton hit so I'm buying another copy and the seller has been great about this so recommend them as well. So to sum up yes this is a heartily recommended purchase alongside of "The Yardbirds aka Roger the Engineer" CD. Every collection of greats and lovers of the 60's together with anyone who loves guitar must own both of them.

A historical and rocking look at a pivotal British invasion band.
It has the hits!! I wish they recorded more originals before they disbanded. A lot of the cuts are covers, of which they added a nice touch to. Certainly a look of how a great British band developed from cover interpretations to originals.
