Mission Moon 3-D offers unique access to the Apollo astronauts and what they saw. It tells the story of the US-Soviet space race, from Sputnik and the space dog Laika to Mercury, Gemini, and Apollo. In 1961, President John F. Kennedy declared that America would put a man on the moon by the end of the decade. On July 20, 1969, Neil Armstrong guided the Eagle to a safe landing on the edge of the moon's Sea of Tranquility. President Richard Nixon told the astronauts, and the nation, that it was "the greatest week in the history of the world since the Creation."     Unusual

    I was a kid in 1969. What an amazing time in spite of such poor leadership in the White House. Now, we have even worse leadership in the White House and nothing is even dreamed or accomplished for America. Oh the wall... Simply said, this book and that time give me renewed hope that America can one day do great things again.

    Is Not 3D

    Do not buy if you’re looking for a 3D experience. The glasses do not work and it’s a huge letdown. The directions for how to get the 3D effect are very detailed and for lack of a better word complicated. You can’t just use the glasses and see images in 3D. You have to have the page flat, in good lighting, stare off into space, forget that you’re looking at an image close up, etc and after all that the 3D effect is non existent or completely lackluster. A waste of money. Lots of good facts about the moon though.

    Good history of the space program.

    Was expecting more of the classic 3-D pictures than stereoscope type pictures. Had a time with adjusting the effect with the glasses. More pictures would have enhanced the written portion.
