Synopsis
Just as the old rules of conventional warfare and intelligence analysis do not apply fully in the 21st-century environment, neither does the traditional methodology of collecting intelligence on these elusive, adapting foes operating as complex adaptive systems (CAS)--adversaries that excel in today's complex contexts. Intelligence Collection: How To Plan and Execute Intelligence Collection In Complex Environments proposes substantive improvements in the way the U.S. national security system collects intelligence and supports intelligence analysis. The work draws on the groundbreaking work of a diverge group of theorists ranging from Carl von Clausewitz and Sun Tzu to M. Mitchell Waldrop, General David Petraeus, and Orson Scott Card, communicating a unifying theory and ontology of thought for how America's intelligence collection professionals must learn to collect data as our country faces elusive, determined, and smart adversaries in nonlinear, dynamic environments. The new ideas presented will help the nation's intelligence collection specialists to amass a formidable, cumulative intelligence power, regardless of the level of war or the type of operational environment., This book examines the theoretical and conceptual foundation of effective modern intelligence collection--the strategies required to support intelligence analysis of the modern, complex operational environments of today's military conflicts or competitive civilian situations such as business. - u***5 (433)- Bewertung vom Käufer.Letzter MonatBestätigter KaufItem as described and arrived well packaged. Received an Item Dispatched email on 10 Aug with an estimated delivery date of 10-28 Aug. Then received another Dispatched email on 21 Aug, with the book arriving on 2 Sept. So, comms a bit erratic and item a little late but overall a positive experience.
- 1***d (10260)- Bewertung vom Käufer.Letzte 6 MonateBestätigter KaufQuiried where the order was after nearly two weeks, was told it was sent by various operatives, it was marked as dispatched, then I was told I’d get a full refund as suppliers could not supply, but book was still listed but now at a higher price. Once I chased up the refund I was refunded and had to buy the book elsewhere. Disappointed-Yes, confused with conflicting statements-Yes, fully refunded-Yes, had to buy elsewhere-Yes. Other buyers warn of caution, I should have taken this warning!
- s***a (98)- Bewertung vom Käufer.Letzte 6 MonateBestätigter KaufOriginal despatch of the book from Australia was delayed and I had to chase it up when it didn't arrive. The seller apologised and offered a refund but I opted to wait. The missing book was then sturdily packed, speedily despatched, and arrived quickly and in pristine condition so I am happy I waited. Though they got off to a bad start, the seller redeemed themselves and I would buy from them again. The Amber Owl by Juliet Marillier [Paperback, 416 pages] (Nr. 167406523405)
