Synopsis
For those living with incontinence, an overactive bladder can make day-to-day life unmanageable. Mayo Clinic on Incontinence is a modern-day guide to the new medications, therapies, treatment plans, and surgical options available to those living with incontinence. If you're suffering from unwanted symptoms of incontinence -- like an uncontrollable bladder and bowel problems -- you're not alone. Millions of Americans struggle daily with issues related to urinary or fecal incontinence, and the effects can be invasive and debilitating. And while many believe incontinence is an age-related issue, the condition prevents patients of all ages from enjoying an active and carefree lifestyle. What most Americans don't know is that incontinence can be improved and, in some cases, even cured. Simple changes to everyday behaviours can ease symptoms of incontinence, while medications and minimally invasive procedures, like injections, can bring long-lasting relief to patients. And in more serious cases, surgical procedures can assist in relieving and often curing problems related to the condition. Penned by two of Mayo Clinic's leading urogynecologists, Mayo Clinic on Incontinence outlines the common causes of incontinence and provides tailored treatment advice for patients of all demographics. Readers will also find tools for enhanced living with incontinence, including tips to reduce the risk of developing incontinence, minimise issues while out in public, and boost overall sexual health and wellness. With more than 10,000 patients treated for incontinence by the Mayo Clinic each year, this book provides a source of hope from the experts who are leading the efforts to treat and cure incontinence., Mayo Clinic on Incontinence is a helpful resource to successfully manage urinary and fecal incontinence. It explains the causes of incontinence and helpful tips to relieve symptoms to enjoy a better quality of life. Each chapter provides strategies and advice to reduce or even eliminate bothersome symptoms, both for individuals recently diagnosed with incontinence as well as those who have lived with the condition for years. Item as described and arrived well packaged. Received an Item Dispatched email on 10 Aug with an estimated delivery date of 10-28 Aug. Then received another Dispatched email on 21 Aug, with the book arriving on 2 Sept. So, comms a bit erratic and item a little late but overall a positive experience.

Quiried where the order was after nearly two weeks, was told it was sent by various operatives, it was marked as dispatched, then I was told I’d get a full refund as suppliers could not supply, but book was still listed but now at a higher price. Once I chased up the refund I was refunded and had to buy the book elsewhere. Disappointed-Yes, confused with conflicting statements-Yes, fully refunded-Yes, had to buy elsewhere-Yes. Other buyers warn of caution, I should have taken this warning!

Original despatch of the book from Australia was delayed and I had to chase it up when it didn't arrive. The seller apologised and offered a refund but I opted to wait. The missing book was then sturdily packed, speedily despatched, and arrived quickly and in pristine condition so I am happy I waited. Though they got off to a bad start, the seller redeemed themselves and I would buy from them again.
