Great Translation!
John Ciardi's translation of The Divine Comedy is fantastic! His introduction to each canto and his notes at the end of each canto are invaluable! The Divine Comedy is heavy reading, but this translation flows. I originally read a different translation which was written in prose and was rather difficult to follow, so I started from the beginning with Ciardi's translation and I am so glad that I did!
