It's good enough. It does stall and hesi...

Good story. Hold your interest.
It's a good, old fashioned story that takes place in England. I have 2 other DVD movie versions of it. (1967, this one, 1998 and 2006. It's enjoyable. You'll want to watch it again, and maybe once more. So interesting to watch all they had to go through.Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Gebraucht

A stellar adaptation of a Thomas Hardy Classic.
A plus perfromances by Alan Bates, Peter Finch and Terrance Stamp - as well as the always luminous Julie Christie, with the incerdibly talented director, John Schlesinger at the helm. A bit pricey, but totally worth havinh at any price.Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Neu

Good transfer, great film, few features

Far From Lackluster
Julie Christie is engagingly delightful in this John Schlesinger helmed classic adaption of the famous Thomas Hardy novel of a beautiful young lady deciding between three suitors of various classes. The suitors are soldier Terence Stamp, farmer Alan Bates and wealthy land owner Peter Finch.
