In 1997, musical satirist Weird Al Yankovic ventured into the world of children's programming with his appropriately wacky Saturday morning series THE WEIRD AL SHOW. Taking his cue from PEE WEE'S PLAYHOUSE, Weird Al spun surreal comedy, animation, musical sequences, special guest stars, and, of course, his trademark pop-culture parodies into a pleasantly bizarre confection somewhat marred by network-mandated moral lessons. Though it only lasted for one season, the series remains a much-beloved cult favorite and is presented here in its entirety for a total of 13 episodes featuring inspired guest appearances by Drew Carey, Gilbert Gottfried, Michael McKean, Judy Tenuta, Emo Philips, Fred Willard, Victoria Jackson, Dr. Demento, Fabio, John Tesh, Alex Trebek, the Barenaked Ladies, and Hanson.

If you like Al, you'll probably like this!
It's a nice box and quality is good. The episodes are charming and bizarre, and there are a lot of guest appearances. There might be some technical issues with the DVD authoring - I had to do some strange things on the first disc - it always wanted to play the commentary track, etc.

Weird Al's children's show that is fun for adults too!
This show is classic Weird Al. If you liked Pee Wee's Playhouse and Weird Al, you will most likely enjoy this. It has the children's show style but also is entertaining for the adults.
