Great book for Artists seeking to hone their talents.
At first I was hesitant, because the book is written in a different time era. Simple, direct instruction...
I'm an artist and bought this book for a friend because of the clear and simple instruction. As an artist, I know that anybody that can hold a pencil can draw realistically following the grid system. This book demonstrates that technique quite well. This book along with perhaps a good book on materials and techniques and literally anyone can create a wonderful portrait. (Hammond demonstrates her techniques with a 2b mechanical pencil) If you're reading these reviews then you already have the desire to draw and I can assure you that this book will help you. Excellent book
