Sunshine Superman: My favorite of the Donovan compilations.
I own two other Donovan compilations on CD. The original Greatest Hits and the 2-CD: The Early Years set. Both offer something unique, but Sunshine Superman (The Best of Donovan) has all the U.K. 'top ten' favorites. Some just not heard on U.S. radio in the day. This gives my collection perspective from both sides of 'The Pond'. I give this one the edge on remastering quality. Given the state of analog recording back in the '60s, the digital remastering here is (in my opinion) brilliant: Clear vocals and crisp guitar. The sound stage is deep with punchy drums. Easy to recommend to any discriminating Donovan fan.
