Under the Mantle
This is an EXCELLENT book. I met Fr. Calloway in a conference in Sacramento and wanted to read this book. It is one of the best books I have read in a long, long time! So complete, so real. Father Calloway's conversion is inspiring. This book is not about his conversion but he talks about it to some extent. He explains things about Catholicism in a natural way that makes so much sense. He had never been to a Catholic Church before his conversion and made fun of Catholics. The book is funny at times, when he explains how he used to see different rituals because he did not understand them. Easy to read yet filled with important and deep faith issues to keep! GENUINELY AWESOME
A GREAT book! Father Calloway is as authentic as they come, and his writing is easy to read and understand -- yet it's deep and filled with things you do not want to rush through. My book is filled with tabs and highlighting for me to go back to. He is absolutely a priest for our times; one who can understand just about everyone and one who everyone can relate to (read his back story -- mind blowing).
