Product Information

Parker Brothers' famous board game of world conquest finds its way onto the Sega Genesis with all of the rules intact. Up to six players can try their hand at defending and acquiring 42 territories spread across six continents on a world map. The object is simple: eliminate all of your opponents by occupying every territory. The video game version lets you play against the computer on one of three difficulty levels: Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced. There is also an arcade option, which has battles being decided by players instead of the odds. A split-screen view will place each player behind a cannon with a variable range of fire, and the first person to successfully hit the troops running across the battlefield wins. For those who prefer a more traditional game, the classic mode remains faithful to the dice rolling aspect of combat, only this time the dice are represented by cannons. You can then watch the computer re-enact the outcome or have it automatically calculated to speed up play. Players can also let the computer randomly assign territories or take turns selecting them.

    Truth be told, the seller ran into shipping issues on this one, but they were not the fault of the seller at all. They made it right as best as possible, but the Canada Post strike made things difficult. It arrived as described, and is in good working order.     Classic game!

    Risk is a classic, i used to play this as a kid (The board game) & i had to get it on megadrive, the one benefit this has over the board game is that you can play the computer if your by yourself, on beginner, intermediate, or expert. You can play the classic risk (like the board game) or there is a different mode you can play, you can have up to 6 players on it human or computer (with at least one human)

    Good nostalgia for my dad

    My dad played this game a lot back in the day and he enjoyed getting to play it again with me. The strategy system was intriguing, the graphics fine for its time, and the cards and things were useful in looking for easy ways to win. I'm glad to have bought this again for him!

    Sega Risk

    This is a game I played when I was younger and I've liked playing ever since the graphics are what you expect it's only a 16 bit sega but its still a great game
