    Unfortunately I received a damaged book, the item and the package both were damaged and it was clearly evident its appearance that it happened during transit. The seller was very understanding and gave me a full refund for the damaged book, though it was no fault of their own. Other than the damage, the book was as described, the quality and condition aside from the damaged spot was like new. The cost of the book was reasonable. I would definitely purchase from the seller again.

    Although this book was not as described, with no picture of it in the listing, the seller communicated well and quickly gave me a full refund while letting me keep it. The minimal packaging left the book a bit vulnerable (typical for ThriftBooks), but it did arrive safely and timely. As usual, it’s hit or miss with this seller, but often times you can get great values, and their customer service is always very good. Many other sellers with millions of transactions don’t even communicate.

    This is based on a True Story and the Real Owner of Secretariat and on set tje entire time

    I LOVED the ending Race when Secretariat was surging all by himself and when he rounded the turn to the Finish line they played the Song " Oh Happy Day" As he finished a Legendary Length of 31 Lengths NEVER has any other Horse Come close to that. They say he could have won every race he ran like that if he wanted to, but Secretariat had a Lazy streak and Always came from dead last to win, Except for the Final Race like he Knew this was the Big Enchilada and he was fed up with that Pesky horse Sham constantly nagging at his side. And of course let's not forget it was a Woman that out started a man from the start of the Breeding of Secretariat. She was in a Man's world and they laughed at her when she was winning until that Final Race. EXCITING to watch

    The Story of Secretariat, The Impossible True Story

    When Secretariat died at 19, the autopsy revealed that the animal's heart was 2 and a half times the size of an average horse's. Bill Nack had followed the horse for its entire life and wrote the book Secretariat, which inspired this film. This is an engaging film that horse lovers everywhere will enjoy. It is my husband's favorite movie, and the fact that he has borrowed it from the local branch of the public library so many times, prompted me to surprise him with his very own DVD of Secretariat. It was a late Christmas gift and he has viewed it many times over already.

    DVD Secretariat

    I had seen the movie a couple of times on TV since it came out but wanted my own copy to view at my discretion because it is very uplifting and I remember watching the actual race back when they occured. This DVD is in excellent condition. I could not be happier. A fantastic bargain for a noteworthy piece of personal history I was fortunate to have witnessed in my lifetime.

    Great movie - great price

    I use "Secretariat" DVD's as part of a "goodie bag" that I give to guests on my horse farm tours here in Lexington, KY. I'm glad to see the movie finally coming down in price so that I can afford to use is as a gift.

    Great true and inspirational story of greatest horse, great owner and trainer.

    Wonderful true story of a family and a horse with hearts larger than life. As a 3 yr old, Secretarial made a world record that has never been broken, or even approached. In 1973, he won the Kentucky Derby, the Preakness, and finally the Belmont by 31 lengths. After the jockey took the lead, he just gave Secretariat his head and let him run, and he continued surging until he passed the finish line, winning by 31 lengths, an impossible margin, but he did it. He was bred for speed and distance, and it surely paid off. Great great heartfelt story. Great inspirational movie for family and any crowd of people to enjoy and appreciate.
