The Wrong Message
The first 15 minutes of the movie was interesting, but the rest of it was just crap. I spent 21 years of my life (1951 - 1972) in the USAF (Korea, Libya, Europe, and North America). Three Years of that was in NATO (Germany), on a Host Nation Base. And, I can tell you that there was a 'No Nonsense Attitude' among the professionals that I worked with! This movie sends the wrong message to the younger generation, looking for information about the 'COLD WAR'!

One of the best cold war films ever made.
Great film about our worst fears during the cold war...nuclear conflict with the Soviet Union. Great cast and outstanding performances. This is a must see film for anyone who grew up during this period.

Nuclear war what if movie
Seen this movie many many times and still like it. Good actors and script. Several key people try to end start of total annihilation.

Great Movie Relavant Again with the Ukraine War.
This movie has meaning again with Russia threatening the US with nuclear retaliation with the Ukraine war going on. We all hope it doesn't happen but dealing with a mad man in Putin this movie should be of great interest. I seen it years ago and wanted to see it again. It is a great well made movie. I wish I had a fallout bunker in the ground somewhere. You never know... A friend of mine flew a B-52 during the Cuban missile crisis in the 60s. His entire wing (32 planes) was up with each carrying two 4-megaton bombs. He flew non stop for 3 days up over northern Canada waiting for the go code to strike Russia and only came back to base when Russia backed down. This movie is about a B-52 crew and the decisions they have to make in a similar situation. My friend said the US air force was going to "sink" Cuba if given the word. The news media doesn't tell the full story of how close we came to a nuclear exchange with the USSR.

Be Patriotic. Be Vigilant. Be Afraid.
Be afraid. Be very afraid. Put this in modern times and be afraid. I hope there are brave souls out there who will step up and do what is right for this country if we are brought to the brink by a mad man.

Great Cold War movie- turns hot!
Nuclear war -toe to toe- can it be stopped? Highly recommend this movie. Transfer is average but story makes up for it.

Middle of the road movie
Some pretty realistic stuff in this movie and some Hollywood BS. Overall an OK movie but wouldn't watch it again.
