  • originally Ted Russell and the Rhythm Rockers. then Ted changed his name to Wade Curtis I knew them back in '61

This CD features a lot of Buffalo radio air checks. It also has The bands recordings on it. They are also on it live on the radio station WEBR 970 Hi Teen program. Ted Russell as I knew him had a disease that put him in a wheel chair. He had a make shift guitar that he probably invented himself. He could really play up a storm with it. I have always admired Ted for all he did, despite his handicap. I recently found out a lot more about him, from an article in the Buffalo Courier Express news paper from 1961. A band member sent it to me. He did so much as a music teacher and many other projects, to numerous to mention. The liner notes of this CD tell a lot about him, I learned more from that article. He also did some wrestling that is why the name change to Curtis. This CD is on Norton Records from New York City area.
