This Joe D'Amato (TROLL 2) horror film was produced by the not quite legendary Filmirage Productions, an Italian horror house for whom D'Amato directed many (cheap) movies. KILLING BIRDS is no exception, but it begins with a bang when a Vietnam vet returns to his Louisiana home only to find his wife in bed with another man. Enraged, he kills them both, along with a child. Unfortunately, his wife's lover also kept birds, which promptly attack him and peck out his eyes, sending him fleeing the house. The story then jumps forward 20 years when a group of college students head out to the Louisiana Bayou to study birds and end up spending some time near a rundown old house. It isn't long before kids start dying at the hands of zombies and the aforementioned birds. A curious mixture of elements from films like THE BIRDS and THE FOG, KILLING BIRDS is more entertaining than it has any right to be.Product Identifiers
