The Animals, fronted by the enigmatic Eric Burdon, were one of the most important bands to emerge from the British blues scene of the early '60s, second only to the Rolling Stones. This all-encompassing 20 track compilation features some of their most stunning (and popular) recordings, including 'The House of the Rising Sun', 'We Gotta Get Out of This Place', 'It's My Life' and 'Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood'. Features many tracks not available on the U.S. "Retrospective" CD. a perfect introduction to one of the most underrated R&B/rock bands ever. EMI.

    A brand new sealed import CD was purchased on 9-5, shipped on 9-15, and delivered by USPS Media Mail on 9-18. Item received was brand new as listed and arrived undamaged shipped inside a plastic padded envelope. Apparently Movie Mars does not keep stock on hand and orders stock from their suppliers when a customer places an order, hence the long wait time to ship. The new and undamaged condition of CD received and the reasonable price offered made for a satisfactory purchasing experience.

    The Best Of The Animals

    The Animals were in the forefront of the British Invasion of the infamous sixties rock music scene. Led by lead singer Eric Burden, they scored high on the charts with hit songs like " House Of The Rising Sun", "We've Got To Get Out Of This Place", and "Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood", and "It's My Life", all of which are contained on The Best Of The Animals CD. Also included are covers of classic John Lee Hooker tunes like "Boom Boom", "Dimples" and "I'm Mad Again", as well as Sam Cooke's "Bring It On Home To Me" and Jimmy Reed's "Bright Lights, Big City" This is a nice collection of Animal's classics, 20 tracks in all.. However, it should be noted that although this is a 'Best Of'" collection, there are some Animal's classics which are surprisingly NOT included on this disc, like ...

    Waste of money,

    Terrible acoustics, sounds like a record player I used in the early 60.s. Definitely a cheap reproduction! Waste of money! Would not play again on my high end system. Very disappointed. Jim
