    Interesting reading of the very first women's aviation race.

    The stories of the girls backgrounds and their love of aviation is most interesting. Good research was done and sources quoted. Hurray to Will Rodgers for giving them their nickname, but these women aviators were no powder puffs when it came to what they had to put up with in order to fly!
