In the first season, the women have romantic prospects that turn out to be more challenging than they originally seemed. In "Second Motherhood," Blanche likes her new boyfriend until she discovers he has several small children. "The Engagement" sees Harry proposing to Blanche, but Rose has strong doubts about him. For the episode titled "Guess Who's Coming to the Wedding?" Dorothy grudgingly agrees to see her hated ex-husband at their daughter's wedding, and in "Rose the Prude," Rose goes on a cruise with a man who wants to share the same room. To the show's credit, THE GOLDEN GIRLS, explores many topics relevant to modern senior citizens, many of which were previously unexplored in television and film.

    Seller was great. Shipped it out in a timely manner. Was well packaged thankfully. Not sellers fault, but USPS shipped it to the wrong state twice so it took a month to get here, and it was beaten up. Now that I have it, very satisfied. Exactly as pictured and frankly the care in packaging likely saved my club from damage. Great seller, would but again.

    I got my package in less than a week. It was exactly as described and in great condition. It was a set of DVDs, and the seller took extra care by wrapping it very carefully. The DVD set is no longer being made, and the seller's price was very reasonable. I would definitely buy from this seller again!

    Shipped fast and packaged very well with 2 bubble mailers! They are new/sealed so condition of the DVDs were good. DVDs did have foggy smudges but not sellers fault it just comes with buying old sealed DVDs but cleaned off so no worries there! For all 3 season you can’t beat $10 it was a good deal :) recommend the seller the dvds came as appeared in pictured and described in the listing. 10/10

    Great Set For A Great Price!

    For anyone who is a Golden Girls fan this set is for you. It contains all 25 episodes of the first season plus the original pilot episode, and an exclusive bonus feature. The Golden packaging is beautiful, and will look great next your other box sets. I recommend this set to all fans of The Golden Girls.

    love the extra features you just don't see on tv

    I love this series, and I like to own it on dvd because a lot of the original short scenes and things like that were really quite hilarious or just more integral to the plot of the show, have been cut now, if you watch it in it's syndicated form, so if you get the dvd, don't have to worry about missing a thing.

    Great Show - Terrible Packaging

    Do not get me wrong I love the show, always have. This is more towards the packaging. This newer style of hinged cases has got to be the worst out there. My set arrived with 3/4 of the inside disks dislodged, hinges dislodged from the case, OIL inside two of the cases and on the disks, and some scratched horribly with bubbles on the disks. Its a shame you cannot get any good dvd or blueray sets anymore unless they are in older style cases that hold the disks in place.

    Thank you for this dvd!! I’m building up my collection! I bought the second season because I love The Golden Girls so much. I’m an 80’s baby and so I like the older shows as well as the new ones. The packaging was great and so were the dvds. I was hesitant about buying because some of the comments were about packaging that was terrible and broken dvds, but I didn’t receive any broken. I cannot wait to binge watch my favorite golden girls!

    Golden Oldie

    This is the 2nd time I have purchased season 1 of The Golden Girls because my 1st copy is horribly scratched from being used/watched so many times! Funny just as all the other seasons! This is a classic to me and has 5 of my most favorite episodes ever!!!
