Great Amazon Reviews but This Product is NOT for me!
I'm caucasian - Jewish/Scottish heritage. I've extremely thick, frizzy, coarse multiple-textured hair. I've been using Tresemme conditioner as a co-wash along with Arvazalia conditioner and on occasion, I'll use Arvazallia shampoo. I use Miss Jessie's Curly Pudding and Jelly Soft Curls as styling products. As far as looking for the 'perfect' co-wash for my hair, I'm 57 years old and have tried everything under the sun - from Suave products to Sally Hershberger and Pureology. I've spent $75 on a bottle of luxury conditioner and I've got to tell you that after my experience with As I Am Co-Wash, I'm done. Almost immediately after applying it to my hair in the shower, my hair became unbelievably tangled; so much so that I was afraid I was going to have to get out, dry off and start cutting hair (my hair is halfway down my back) In desperation, I grabbed a bottle of Tresemme conditioner and slathered my hair with that - almost immediately I was able to brush easily through my wet hair with my fingers again. I have no idea why I had the experience with As I Am; a lot of people have given it high ratings but it's not for me. I also found the aroma a bit much - if you are really crazy a bout cocoanuts, go for it.
