However, I believe the battery models and especially this model are more accurate and consistently accurate out of the box and long term. I'd say buy this model now because I'm guessing that shortly the Snark company will only offer USB port charging. Which is a shame...another case of newer isn't better or why change a good thing for no reason. Batteries last a long time...much longer .
