    Unfortunately I received a damaged book, the item and the package both were damaged and it was clearly evident its appearance that it happened during transit. The seller was very understanding and gave me a full refund for the damaged book, though it was no fault of their own. Other than the damage, the book was as described, the quality and condition aside from the damaged spot was like new. The cost of the book was reasonable. I would definitely purchase from the seller again.

    Although this book was not as described, with no picture of it in the listing, the seller communicated well and quickly gave me a full refund while letting me keep it. The minimal packaging left the book a bit vulnerable (typical for ThriftBooks), but it did arrive safely and timely. As usual, it’s hit or miss with this seller, but often times you can get great values, and their customer service is always very good. Many other sellers with millions of transactions don’t even communicate.

  • It may work but lacks the best nutrition advice.

    It provides hope that there really is a diet that could work. But, there is a caveat to this book. The author states that her goal is to provide a means to lose weight, not to provide good nutrition. I personally would highly recommend that "How Not to Die" and "How Not to Diet" be read in conjunction with Susan's book. It is my belief that if you are going to diet you had better eat the best nutritious and anti-inflammatory food you can and this does not include meat eggs or any dairy. Why diet her way just to get cancer or diabetes or autoimmune diseases?

  • A LIFE STYLE CHANGE

    I have been following this plan for a couple of weeks now and have lost 10 lbs doing it. A friend loaned me their book and I read it and started right away. I sent their book back to them and got my own book to refer to when necessary and really see this makes sense and my Dr said her sister is doing this plan and when she researched it was happy to announce how very healthy it really is. So good for anyone wanting to do something really good for themselves. It is so helpful and I found online support groups also that give examples of meals and this is so much fun to follow their progress as well as my own.

  • Took me a while to get it

    This book took me a while to get I have been following the plan it actually works its a very strict plan. You will need to follow the plan I read the book and as usual I jumped to the good part at first I thought I'm not losing weight and then bam I got on the scale after two weeks of following the plan and I lost 5 pounds I feel better. No sugar or flour you should lose I had to increase my vegetable and salad and I'm loving it the book takes time to read and the weight loss is gradual what I like is you don't have to exercise and still loose weight as I'm quite ill and movement is a issue but the clarity you have when sugar or flour is not a factor now the book took a while to get to me felt like a full 7 days but I enjoyed the book.

    I am 73 and have tried all kinds of weight loss and clean eating diets with either little weight loss or weight loss and constant hunger and cravings !     Wish I could tell you we were Happy, Thin and Free but we have just begun. What I can tell you is the journey coldn't have been made without first listening to the CD and then having the book for support. The item said it had some wear and I can't see any. It looked brand new. I am happy with the purchase.
