Always Buy OEM Genuine!
I've had a Canon PIXMA MP510 printer for almost a decade. Through the years, I've always had no problems using Genuine Canon replacement ink cartridges. A couple of months ago, I was having difficulty finding Genuine replacements, and decided to try another vendor's 3rd party "guaranteed" replacement cartridges. The cyan cartridge failed to work from the get-go, and the second, black cartridge produced results that bled and smeared. After printing about a dozen pages, the printer quit altogether, telling me that the printhead was of the wrong type. I tried cleaning the printhead to no avail. I had to replace the printhead, and I purchased Genuine Canon replacement cartridges from cellinkntoner, and my printer is working like new again! My cartridges did not arrive in the original boxes, but were still in factory shrink wrap exhibiting the Canon logo. Go for the Canon Brand!
