The tale of revenge for the Ranger Talion and the Elf Celebrimbor concludes as they battle the armies of Sauron in Middle-earth: Shadow of War. The action is set ten years after Shadow of Mordor, with the protagonists having successfully forged a new Ring of Power in the hopes that Celebrimbor will grow strong enough to defeat Sauron and his Nazgul. Players explore open-world environments, completing a series of interconnected missions through stealth, strategy, and visceral melee combat, and eventually conquering fortresses to turn Sauron's minions against him.<br><br>There are five distinct regions of Mordor to explore in Shadow of War, with each area designed to be larger, more diverse, and more vertical than any locations in the first game. With a larger world comes more methods of conveyance, including the abilities to fast travel, sprint short distances with new wraith powers, and ride mounts, including drakes, caragors, and giant graugs. The Nemesis System returns, with enemies once again given unique names, appearances, strengths, weaknesses, and personalities shaped in part by previous interactions with Talion. While Shadow of Mordor saw most followers motivated by revenge, this time their decisions can also be driven by loyalty, rivalry, betrayal, and friendship.<br><br>This Mithril edition comes in a special collector's box and includes the Gold edition of the game, a magnetic Ring of Power, an official soundtrack, a 12-inch statue, a cloth map of Mordor, a mithril war chest, a collection of lithographs, and a sticker pack.
