OEM Makes Sense.
After a lot of use the lower oven on our double convection oven range wasn't working as it should. The igniter was still functioning but the resistance had grown too high so that the safety valve no longer opened fully. The valve opens as a function of the igniters current draw; not enough draw and the valve stays closed. Without the valve fully open the gas flow is too little for the oven to come up to temperature. Since the stove is used semi-commercially and the original igniter gave great service over the years it was decided to go with another OEM igniter. After installing the new part the oven now gets up to temperature just like it did when it was new! Would do it again!
Ignitor arrived quickly. It took about 25 mins to take the old one out and put the new one in. Included in the package were some wire nuts to splice in the wiring. Replaces defective igniter perfectly.
Worked great. I fixed my oven in less than 60 minutes and less than $20. I think this same part works for a bunch of ovens, mine was a 9 year old Kitchen Aid. I had to do a little bit of wire splicing onto the existing connector, but super easy.Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Neu

Back to baking.
This part was an exact replacement for the part that wasn't turning on to allow gas to flow. The price was real reasonable and I would purchase this part again if I ever need to replace the other igniter. Bailed an old guy out

They don't last long
I've replaced igniters on our range thrice, once each for bake in both ovens plus broil in the smaller upper oven.
