The ASUS Pro can do a lot of everything – such as visually intense gaming, Home-Theater PC (HTPC)-class multimedia, and high-resource graphic-design programs – and do it well. Built around the high-performance Intel Z68 chipset, the P8Z68-V Pro produces 300 percent faster video conversion rates and supports hybrid graphics systems. The Intel Z68 chipset supports hybrid graphics systems, in conjunction with the p8z68-v motherboard’s LucidLogix Virtu feature, which is also referred to as universal switchable graphics technology. Universal switchable graphics technology directs the CPU to switch between the Intel Z68’s integrated HD graphics processor and the board’s installed NVIDIA or AMD Graphics Processing Units (GPU), as applications demand. For example, when performing tasks that require minimal graphics resources, such as Web browsing, the Intel HD graphics manages the visuals, and when an application needs all the processor overclocking a board has, the installed GPUs take care of business. The Intel Z68 also features Intel Smart Response Technology, which supports both dual Hard Disk Solid State Drives (SSD+HHD) and Solid State Hybrid Drives (SSHD). Both types of drives take the best aspects of solid-state and mechanical hard-drive technology and create high-capacity, low-cost data storage solutions. You can also use regular HDDs and SSDs with the ASUS P8Z68-V Pro motherboard. The ASUS P8Z68-V Pro motherboard supports both NVIDIA SLI and CrossFireX, allowing you to run up to four SLI-ready GeForce GPUs or four AMD Radeon HD CrossFireX-ready GPUs. Running four GPUs simultaneously lets you game at the highest frame rates, at the highest screen resolutions and at the highest settings on up to four displays. However, you don’t need four GPUs to take advantage of SLI and CrossFireX X technology. With just one high-performance CrossFireX X or SLI GPU, you can play 4K media and turn your computer into a virtual HTCP virtual center channel to expand the sound field and downmix from multiple channels. The ASUS P8Z68-V Pro supports up to 36 MB of DDR3 SD RAM 2200-2000-1800 MHz memory (four sockets open), two SATA 6-GBps connectors, and four SATA 3-GBps connectors (with Raid 0, 1, 5, and 10 support). Motherboard interfaces include two IEEE 1394a connectors, two 4-pin CPU fan connectors, one each 3-pin and 4-pin chassis fan connectors, two 3-pin power Fan connectors, one S-PDIF output header, one 24-pin EATX Power connector, one 8-pin ATX 12V power connector, one front panel audio connector, one system-panel Q-connector, MemOK! Button (for resetting BIOS during system failure or corruption), two SuperSpeed USB 3.0 connectors, six USB 2.0 connectors, one EPU switch and one TPU switch. The P8Z68-v back panel has six audio jacks, one HDMI connector, one Bluetooth module, one DVI port, one D-sub port, two USB 3.0 ports, six USB 2.0 ports, one eSATA 3 Gbps port, one RJ45 Ethernet port, one optical S-PDIF port, and six audio jacks. Accessories bundles with the P8Z68-Vinclude one SLI bridge, one 2-in-1 Q-connector, one SATA 3 Gbps cable, one ASUS USB 3.0 bracket and two SATA 6 Gbps cables. The ASUS P8Z68 motherboard supports Intel Core i3, Core i5, and Core i7 CPUs and has an ATX form factor (12 inches by 9.6 inches).     the first one was defective but they sent a replacement and it works good and the seller stands by his word i tested 2 cpu 2 different memory and power supply on the first defective one like they asked second replacement they sent took a little extra time and they even tracked it leaving me updates and when it arived i tested it and everything worked with no problems and they stand behind their word negative replacement took longer then the first one

    Asus P8Z68

    This is the first mobo that I had to order RAM in its qualified list so money-wise, it was disappointing. I like the CPU, RAM, GPU, BOOTDRV LEDs, and power/reset buttons on the board (always having to connect the front panel switches to just test a mobo). The BIOS editor is jazzy (so what). Other than that, its just another motherboard.

    works great A++

    Took apart an old small form factor HP elite 8200 and swap the i7 2600, SSD and HDD with this motherboard into a bigger case pair it with 16gb of ram and geforce gtx 1650 works great with no issues

    Motherboard Meltdown Rebound

    Losing a motherboard is devastating; especially after paying a hundred bucks to get it officially pronounced D.O.A. . These boards have a problem with their bios just magically disappearing and leaving you with a brick but I decided to give a refurbished a try because I knew I could just use all my old hardware and Windows wouldn't reject it as a new computer. The thing works like a charm, it gives a quick millisecond "no hard disc detected" message at the beginning while displaying new bios info before booting which I can only attribute to the board being refurbished and the bios being corrected. Very happy and proud I could recover my system from one of the most devastating pc mishaps. Thanks for this .
