The Vandoren CR102 B-flat Clarinet Traditional Reeds at Strength 2 are a great set for a beginner clarinet player. The reeds are pliable yet tough enough to withstand about a month of playing, and the strength is sufficient for hitting the high notes played by clarinet beginners. The tone clarity will even allow for legato, large-range interval playing, without cracking or tonal changes. The classic Vandoren tone richness is present throughout the range of notes possible on a clarinet.
