2016 album from the former Kiss guitarist. Origins Vol. 1 is a collection of 12 newly recorded classic rockers from Ace s formative years featuring some of the biggest names in music. Most notably, Kiss frontman Paul Stanley joins Ace on Free's cult hit 'Fire and Water'. This collaboration marks the first time that Ace and Paul appear on the same studio recording since Kiss' 1998 reunion album Psycho Circus. Other guests are none other than Slash trading leads on Thin Lizzy's classic 'Emerald', Lita Ford singing and playing lead on The Troggs' #1 smash hit 'Wild Thing', Rob Zombie guitarist John 5 plays guitar alongside Ace as he sings his classic Kiss composition 'Parasite' for the very first time, as well as Jimi Hendrix's 'Spanish Castle Magic'. Pearl Jam's Mike McCready also plays guitar with Ace as he finally sings his Kiss Alive! Mainstay 'Cold Gin'. Origins Vol. 1 is the follow up to Space Invader, released in 2014.

    A brand new sealed import CD was purchased on 9-5, shipped on 9-15, and delivered by USPS Media Mail on 9-18. Item received was brand new as listed and arrived undamaged shipped inside a plastic padded envelope. Apparently Movie Mars does not keep stock on hand and orders stock from their suppliers when a customer places an order, hence the long wait time to ship. The new and undamaged condition of CD received and the reasonable price offered made for a satisfactory purchasing experience.

    Ace Frehley to a T

    I was sooo excited this came out and couldnt wait to hear it.. its full of golden oldies with the odd kiss tune thrown in with an assortment of guest musicians..the best being Miss Lita Ford doing wild thing !! brilliant.. I Have always loves Aces playing and this didnt disappoint..If there was only more musos around who didnt go with the times but play what they are good at, and this is what you get with Ace.. No Frills , No steakknives with every purchase just honest to goodness R and R the way its should be played !! GOOOOOOOO ACE MAN XXXXXX WE LOVE YOU XXXXXXXXXXX

    Good God WHAT HAPPENED???!!!???

    Covers that sound awful....overdubs and digital cut ins are audible....the singing, any by Ace, is the beyond the worst of anything Ace has ever done....Space Invaders really showed Ace lacks any creativity with the lamest songs and production...but at least there was two/three sorta ok songs....this...this...is embarrassingly bad...White Room??? Rock and Roll Hell??? Ace just stop...its over...I mean really really over...ya cant play the same solos again...the same licks...this maybe a good comedy album though listening to Magic Carpet Ride almost made me pee!!! Huge fan but.....this is HORRIBLE and I mean HO HO HORRIBLE unlistenable badly recorded badly produced...even Paul Stanley cant help...complete destruction of a great Bad Co. song...this is SAD. Might be the worst album ever...no ...

    Not a bad CD of covers, but nothing overly exciting.

    I've been a Kiss fan since 1984, and Ace has always been my favorite. Not a bad CD of covers, but then again at this point in his career he's not going to reinvent the wheel. I wish there were more unknown covers on here (like New York Groove, etc). Some of these songs I feel have been covered to death (Wild Thing, really?). It is cool to hear him cover Kiss' song Rock and Roll Hell. The Free song Paul Stanley sings on is cool as well. Kiss/Ace fans will like it the cd.
