Former Weather Report drummer/percussionist Alex Acuña teams up again with Norwegians Jan Gunnar Hoff (keyboards) and Per Mathisen (bass) to create this fiery second meeting. Barxeta explores the trio's Latin roots and is a culmination of three years of work together - from their initial meeting with the 2009 release of their Jungle City to 2011's in Concert CD/DVD. John Kelman of Allaboutjazz writes: 'For those believing that Norwegian artists are all about glacial cool and rubato tone poems, Barxeta demonstrates there's plenty of fire in the far, far north.'
