Great lens with little compromise
The construction is not quite as durable as metal or Sony’s G lens, but it is not bad. We really like the image quality of this lens; There are other lens that is “almost” as good at lower price but they do not hit as many bullets like this lens. We did not want to buy another lens almost as good again and get disappointed with some shots, so we brought this. It produces very sharp images especially if stopped down slightly. It still is not bad fully open. Image distortion is not too bad after the built-in image correction in the camera. We have taken some city photos and some astro photography with this lens so far and were please with all the photos. Unfortunately, the Sony lens price went up from last year. This is where eBay came in for me to save some money. (Be careful if buying from overseas, you may get hit with a big tariffs!)
