It will surprise you and open your eyes, mind and heart. Would recommend reading without reading about the plot.
It looks at the power of forgiveness and love. It is a Christian book and applies regardless of one’s beliefs. I ask people what a fallen woman is and they have some idea of it; but ask what a fallen man is and there is no answer. Why is that? Because we look at women who sin differently and with condemnation. Even though this book is set in older days before women’s liberation, the attitudes are still there. Many women still perceive themselves as unlovable based on their choices and society still condemns them though in a much more subtle ways. I think both men and women need to read it.
